Elmira Stove & Fireplace has its origins in 1970s Elmira, Ontario (Canada) in a chicken barn, where a wood burning cookstove was modified to serve a dual purpose as a heating appliance. As the stove gained popularity, founder Tom Hendrick began fulfilling requests to manufacture gas and electric models. Soon, fireplace shops and appliance stores across the continent were carrying Elmira's line of products. Over the years, the company received a greater demand for cookstoves and eventually decided to cease production on wood heating stoves. They changed their name from Elmira Stove & Fireplace to Elmira Stove Works. Fast Replacement Glass can still custom cut glass and provide gaskets and combustors for your Elmira heating application.
